This datalayer presents population data from 2000 at the block group level. The data for each block group include the number of people, the population density, and the population by gender, by age group, and by other categories. Block Group is a statistical subdivision of a census tract. It is the lowest-level geographic entity for which the Census Bureau tabulates sample data from the decennial census. A household includes all the people who occupy a housing unit as their usual place of residence; household size is the total number of people living in a housing unit; family is a group of two or more people who reside together and who are related by birth, marriage, or adoption.
