Data source:
U.S. Census Data
These data layers contain the estimated population for every Massachusetts municipality. The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program publishes population estimates between decennial censuses. The estimates are based on the previous decennial census count, updated with information from birth, death, migration, and housing construction data.    
   
  These data layers show how population, households and employment is projected to grow based on current trends by decade to year 2030. The layer covers 164 eastern Massachusetts communities and is available at municipal level.

  This datalayer contains the population data from 2000 for each municipality. The information includes:

  This data set contains data about the number of households and families in 2000, at the municipal level. A household includes all the people who occupy a housing unit as their usual place of residence; household size is the total number of people living in a housing unit; family is a group of two or more people who reside together and who are related by birth, marriage, or adoption.   This datalayer contains data that displays population by categories of race, including white, black, Hispanic, Asian, and other, and it groups the population by categories of ethnicity, including European, Asian, African, Oceanic, Latin American, Central American, South American, and North American.
